Laurel Street is partnering with the Durham Housing Authority in a redevelopment effort that will transform the Liberty Street Apartments and the 519 East Main Street tower in downtown Durham, NC. Elizabeth Street, the first phase of the five-phase redevelopment, is currently under construction. The community features 72 one, two, and three-bedrooms units serving households with incomes at 80% of area medium income and below.
Community amenities include onsite management offices, a community room, a computer center, a fitness room, and laundry facilities. Additionally, site amenities include covered picnic areas, outdoor seating, and a children’s playground. Units include fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer connections, patios/balconies, comfortable living spaces, closets, and storage.
