Laurel Street is partnering with The Durham Housing Authority (“DHA”), to develop the Dillard Street Apartments in Durham, NC on DHA’s existing 519/Liberty Street housing site in downtown Durham. Dillard Street is a 146-unit multifamily mixed income development that provides housing for households ranging from 30% AMI to market rate with project-based vouchers for the 30% AMI Units.
Dillard Street is the third phase of the redevelopment of 519/Liberty Street with funding from a Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant awarded to the Durham Housing Authority. The project consists of both garden style and elevator buildings with a separate community building. Amenities include a fitness center, community room, playground/tot lot, covered picnic area, bus shelter, computer center, and a laundry room. Apartment features include spacious floor plans, patios/balconies, washer/dryers and exterior storage.
